Nadine Lepp jobbar på University of the Sunshine Coast i Australien.  Vi intervjuade henne och fick veta varför University of the Sunshine Coast är mycket mer än sol, bad och surf!

Hi Nadine! So tell us, who is Nadine Lepp?

Hi! I originally grew up in the Australian “Outback”, 8 hours from the nearest beach. The Sunshine Coast was my favorite holiday destination growing up, so studying at the University of the Sunshine Coast was an easy choice. After graduating I was lucky enough to receive a job in the International Office. I now have the privilege of meeting potential students from all over the world and help them with their applications.

What do you do in your spare time?

On the Sunshine Coast it’s hard not to lose your days lazing around at the beach, getting a coffee or a fresh juice. However, I also love adventuring into the Hinterland, kayaking around the canals and just spending time catching up with my family and friends. I have called the Sunshine Coast home for 6 years, and I cannot see that changing anytime soon!

What makes University of the Sunshine Coast stand out compared to other universities?

USC’s location is hard to beat, especially for beach lovers and surfers. Our campus offers modern facilities in an environmentally friendly and relaxing setting. To have kangaroos on campus is something fairly special to USC, I’d say! But even if we’re known for our relaxed lifestyle, there is also good nightlife if students want to let their hair down!

We offer students high level education and a very “Australian” experience with a personal touch.  With a great range of support services as well as smaller tutorial class sizes we want to make sure our students achieve their best.

What surprises people the most about University of the Sunshine Coast?

That it’s not just about the location close to wonderful beaches. USC was awarded 5 stars for Graduate Satisfaction and Teaching Quality in the 2016 Good Universities Guide. Something we have been awarded for several years now.

Do you have a lot of international students?

USC’s International student population makes up about 10% of our total student cohort. Therefore, besides being around kangaroos, our international students get to study with a lot of Aussies!

Which programs and courses are available for Swedish students? Maybe you have a favorite of your own?

The majority of our programs and courses are offered to Swedish students. I took a Bachelor of Business at USC, so I can vouch for the quality and versatility of this program. We do have some exciting programs that I think are quite unique, such as Bachelor of Animal Ecology and Bachelor of Serious Gaming.

Which 3 places are an absolute must to visit nearby?

The Sunshine Coast region is made up of 50 km worth of coastline and any beach you visit along here will offer something a little different to the other.

Fraser Island is a must as a world heritage listed island. It is said to be the largest sand island in the world. It’s really spectacular!

Noosa National Park – Noosa itself is a world renowned tourist location. Take a short or long walk through the national park,  breathtaking views are guaranteed!
